Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet
Halle Hamilton was born in Canton, Ohio and began dancing at the age of three. She attended the Pleasant View School for the Arts majoring in dance, drama, and piano. In addition, she was a competitive gymnast with the North Canton YMCA, a team that has been undefeated since 1978.
Throughout her middle school and high school years, Halle was a competitive dancer competing in numerous competitions on the East Coast. Her training included ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, tap, lyrical, acro, and hip hop. She began assisting her teachers with choreography at age nine, and by age 13 was an assistant teacher of both dance and gymnastics.
At age 16, Halle became the director of a recreational dance program for the YMCA where she taught classes and conducted recitals for seven years. At the same time, she taught competitive classes in tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, ballet, and acro, and was a freelance choreographer for dance teams, cheer squads, and numerous studios across Northeast Ohio. In 2006, she was hired by the Plain Local School System to teach dance and was involved in an arts integration program for 5th graders.
Halle graduated from Glenoak High School in Canton, Ohio with an arts specialization in dance before attending the University of Akron, majoring in dance. In addition, she has studied in New York City, Chicago, and Cleveland attending numerous workshops and teaching seminars. Upon moving to Texas in 2007, Halle has worked as a teacher, choreographer, and assistant studio director focusing on Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Acrobatics.
