Andrea C. Williams

Ballet Instructor

 

Andrea Comola Williams has been a professional dancer and teacher since 1987.  She danced for 13 years as a ballerina with Nevada Dance Theatre and Ballet Austin.  After retiring from ballet, she danced jazz and tap with Tapestry Dance Company and modern with Kathy Dunn Hammrick Dance Company.  During and in between which Andrea has freelanced as a dancer and an independant choreographer and has been invited to perform in many dance festivals in the Austin area.

 

As a teacher, Andrea's philosophy is that with proper strength and body alignment, a dancer can have effortless power and ultimately tons of fun dancing.  One of her greatest talents as an instructor is her ability to spot the weaknesses or alignment issues in each dancer and offer corrections tailored to each dancer's specific needs.
