Melinda Hazbun
Ballet Instructor, Progressing Ballet Technique
​
Melinda Hazbun Shukha is a ballet instructor and former professional dancer with over 25 years of international experience in classical dance. Born and raised in Jerusalem, Melinda began her training with former Russian ballet dancers before continuing her studies in Germany and Austria, including time at the Palucca School in Dresden and professional programs in Frankfurt and Vienna.

She is certified in both the Vaganova and American Ballet Theatre (ABT) methods, as well as Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT). Melinda danced professionally with Wiesbaden Ballet Theater in Germany and toured with the Mehola Dance Company, performing in classical and contemporary productions throughout Europe. From 2013 to 2024, she served as Head of the Classical Ballet Department at Al Amal Dance Organization in Nazareth, where she led a program of over 500 students and staged major ballet productions. In 2025, she relocated to the Austin metropolitan area, where she continues to teach and share her passion for ballet.

Melinda is deeply dedicated to mentoring young dancers and helping them grow through disciplined training, artistry, and a love for the craft.
