Rebekah "Becky" Weishuhn
Pilates Instructor
Becky is an Austin based Pilates instructor who specializes in working with dancers. She grew up in Albuquerque, NM, and began dancing at the age of three. She attended summer intensives at Princeton Dance Theatre and Studio, the Kirov Academy of Ballet, and Southwest Dance Institute. She earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology from the University of Texas and her pilates certification through BASI Pilates, training under Karen Clippinger. She channels her love of learning through continuing education courses when she gets the opportunity. She has studied with Anatomy Trains, the Center for Women's Fitness, Progressing Ballet Technique, Progressing Contemporary Technique, Merrithew, and the Neuro Studio. Becky is passionate about teaching dancers how to take care of their bodies. She loves sharing her knowledge of Pilates, anatomy, and fascial release techniques with her students. She believes spending time on restorative care is important for a dancer's optimal performance, injury prevention, and longevity. She looks forward to continuing to work with dancers for many years to come. In her spare time, Becky likes spending time with her husband outdoors, social dancing, and learning photography.
